Summer is halfway over now and we are anxious for the new school year to begin. Hannah finished her first year of the Virtual Academy using K12 curriculum. We really enjoyed it but it basically took the whole year to get used to the switch from homeschooling. Ready to go for 4th grade now!
Chloe will be attending 4K at our public school and she couldn’t be more excited. She will be there for a couple hours each afternoon and I hear rave reviews about our districts 4K program from everyone.
Malachi will be entering the 2nd grade. He has been going to summer school but it’s only Monday and Wednesday from 9:30-11:30. His whole routine is messed up. This is his last week of summer school and then he’s out till school starts again the 1st week of September. Malachi has been doing a lot of interesting things lately. He has found joy in crayons. Not coloring on paper or coloring books however. He has found that he LOVES to color in already colored books. This means reading books. Also, he has found that he loves to color on windows and ... sigh... flat screen monitors. Not good. He also has them stashed everywhere so it’s basically impossible to hide them all from him. Not to mention we have tried forever to get him to color... now he’s coloring but in all the wrong places.
He is also enjoying pedaling a tricycle around the street. His face lights up when riding, he enjoys it so much! Hopefully when we have a stable job we will be able to afford a special needs bicycle for him. I’d love for our whole family to be able to enjoy bike rides! =)
Jonas. Jonas is crazy! He’s the funniest little boy ever. So full of personality. Such a sweet little boy. He has been in speech therapy for a month now. He isn’t really saying anything yet and he will be 2 in October. Lots of sounds and it sounds like he is saying “hi” “dada” “mama”... and I *think* “Hannah” lately... just not real sure. I’m confident that he will start talking. It’s his only delay and for that I’m incredibly thankful. =)
That’s about it for us right now. I will be sure to keep everyone updated on our job situation and please keep us in your prayers.
Crystal
